Project to focus on AI and food safety behavior

A Welsh university has secured funding to look at how artificial intelligence (AI) could improve food safety in workplaces and at home. The Smart Hygiene Intelligence project, led by Dr. Issam Damaj from Cardiff Metropolitan University, has received £176,000 ($240,000) from Behavioural Research UK.

Isle of Man to roll out food hygiene ratings in 2027

The Isle of Man has unveiled a food hygiene ratings system to give consumers greater confidence and encourage high standards. The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture's (DEFA) Food Hygiene Scheme will cover more than 300 cafés, restaurants, takeaways, and pubs that serve meals.
