Finland assesses safety of plant-based dairy products

Microbiological risks and mycotoxin levels in plant-based dairy alternatives are generally low but consumer storage practices and product ingredients can significantly impact safety, according to research in Finland.

Findings come from a risk assessment as part of a project by Ruokavirasto (the Finnish Food Authority) and research organization VTT.
