Netherlands records more than 1,000 outbreaks in 2025

The Netherlands has released figures on the number of people sickened by various pathogens and in outbreaks in 2025.

There were 4,279 people sick in 1,142 outbreaks and 12 large epidemics involved at least 25 people. A pathogen was identified in 31 incidents. Ten were caused by Salmonella,
