SMP Food call for proposals: Support to stakeholders in food waste prevention actions

HaDEA has published a call for proposals to support stakeholders in implementing food waste prevention actions in 2026-2027.

EU countries are required to meet food waste reduction targets by 2030, as set out in the 2025 amendment of the Waste Framework Directive. Specifically, the aim is to reduce food waste at national level by 10% in processing and manufacturing, and by 30% (per capita) jointly in retail and consumption, including restaurants, food services and households.
